Nowadays exercise plays a very important role if you’re heading for a healthier path in life. There are many cultures in the world, that through movement rituals achieve longer and high quality lifetime. Activity is essential for your body, generating a lot of proven benefits. In my opinion, here are some of the most relevant ones.

1 – Weight Control

Exercise is a crucial part of the weight loss process. In order to optimise your results, burning calories faster. If you stick only to a restrict diet, the weight loss process will be slower and you will mainly lose muscle mass first. Engaging in a regular activity will not only acelerate your weight loss process, but also increase your muscle tone, as well as decreasing your body fat.

‘I don’t have enough time to engage in regular exercise!’ A classic excuse not to workout… been there, done that! Personally I took some time to organise my daily schedule, and believe me I had an extra disadvantage, my work is based on a shift schedule. So from week to week I planed at least 2-4 moments to workout. Remember, whenever you skip a workout, your cheating on yourself. Just be strong-minded!

2 – Improves Mood & Boosts Energy

Yes! Exercise improves your mood. Many studies can corroborate this statement. It’s related to the fact that several brain chemicals, such as serotonin that makes you feel happier, increase their presence whenever your body goes through physical activity. Consequently, it can lower stress levels, helping you with this major health risk factor present in your everyday life.

More, when you have an exercise routine that you stick to, you’ll gradually boost your confidence, increasing your self-esteem. FYI, consequently you’ll fit better in your clothes, considering both physically and mentally dimensions, in simple words, making you feel better about yourself.

Another relevant advantage of practice regular exercise is that it makes you more resilient to everydays demands. It optimises your cardiovascular response to any given effort or challenge, boosting your energy, making you more resistant.

3 – Bedtime Quality

Physical activity is crucial to enhance your sleep quality, reducing any difficulty you might have falling asleep and making you feel more rested when you wake up. You’ll heal through nighttime.

Also important, not exclusive to bedtime, yet frequent, regular exercise will improve both your sexual life and mood. This is valid for men and women. 

 

 

4 – Health 

When you workout regularly you improve every body’s system: cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, endocrine, etc. Exercise can ultimately help you delete some chronic diseases, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. This is relevant to reducing your internal organs age, increasing your lifetime. 

5 – Social Life Boost

Exercising can be a very, very interesting social moment. Wellness is very trendy nowadays, with different approaches to exercise sharing sometimes the same space, discovering common interests. This is a very fruitful field to interact with other people, making new friends. It allows realtime personal interaction and communication, boosting your social ‘beast’. It can be fun!

 

Mainly the important message is ‘keep moving’. If your starting a regular workout schedule for the first time and have health issues, please contact your physician before you engage in any form of physical activity. If your healthy I advise you to contact a professional personal trainer at first to help you find the routine that fits you best, at least for the first couple of months. Another advise is for you to tryout different types of exercise and decide which you love or fit you better.
