Roasted pears are great with just a drizzle of honey and for me this dessert has been present in my life since I was a child. As I mentioned before my Mother is a great cook. So during college as I was learning to recreate my Mothers recipes, I came across a more exquisite approach to her classic roasted pears. A really close friend of mine suggested adding nuts and blue cheese to the recipe. Throughout the years I developed my own version, testing it at dinner parties. I can assure you that it’s a crowd pleaser. Ready for any foodie soul out there!

Roasted Pears & Blue Cheese

Ingredients
  1. 4 Pears
  2. 2 tbsp Blue Cheese
  3. 2 tbsp Minced Almonds (toasted)
  4. 4 tbsp Honey

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 °F.
  2. Peel the pears and cut them in halves.
  3. Remove the core of each pear half.
  4. In a baking dish place the pears with the core up, stuff the pears with the blue cheese.
  5. Add the toasted minced almonds, and drizzle with honey.
  6. Baked them in the oven for at least 30 min, or until golden on top.
  7. Take the baking dish out of the oven and let it cool for 5 min before you serve.
Notes
  1. You can add any other nuts if you like, or even raisins.
